The Mothers - Cruisin' with Ruben and the Jets - Original Vinyl Edition

originally released in 1968, cruisin... was remastered in 1984. for some reason f.z. felt the drums and bass didn't cut the mustard. all cd versions of the album are from the remastered '84 version. lots of scribble scrabble has been written about which is better and why, with most critics favoring the original version. it took a long time to find this gem, but it was well worth it.

Quintron - These Hands of Mine

this album's my introduction to quintron. after hearing this dirty, dirty, dirty album, i'm kind of pissed i passed up on seeing him live back in memphis. shame on me.
