The Mothers - Cruisin' with Ruben and the Jets - Original Vinyl Edition

originally released in 1968, cruisin... was remastered in 1984. for some reason f.z. felt the drums and bass didn't cut the mustard. all cd versions of the album are from the remastered '84 version. lots of scribble scrabble has been written about which is better and why, with most critics favoring the original version. it took a long time to find this gem, but it was well worth it.

70's steely dan live seems pretty hard to come by. however, it has become apparent that, with enough searching on the internerd, you can find just about anything you want. good live steely dan is no exception. this march 20, 1974 recording at the record plant in L.A. has some real gems, with bodhisattva and do it again highlighting the set.
